The image and fashion industry is growing a rapid rate and there are plenty of job opportunities available, some more obvious than others. On successful completion of this course you may work freelance (self-employed), by offering consultancy services directly to individual clients, or you may investigate other opportunities for employment including the following...
- Conducting makeovers & personal shopping services for individual clients (including seasonal updates to update capsule wardrobes with current details)
- Pursuing a career as an editorial or commercial stylist
- Working as a display & visual merchandising artist for specialist shops and boutiques
- Working as part of an in-store display team at one of the larger department stores
- Seeking career opportunities in theatre, video and TV production companies
Currently, this is one of the few courses available in the world (and the only home study course that we know of) to offer a course of this depth specifically aimed at those pursuing a career in image and fashion styling, as opposed to design. By the time you complete this course , you can expect to achieve high levels of skill and knowledge, with a strong portfolio of work to give you credibility and extremely good chances of entering this industry at a progressive level. Should you wish to progress further, you may continue onto our HND (Higher National Diploma) in Image & Fashion Styling at a future date - which is currently under development and expected to be available by early 2006. Under the current HND proposal, this diploma course will form the first part of the HND program, so by enrolling on this diploma course today you could already be taking your first steps towards that qualification. Within the next couple of years, we plan to offer students the opportunity to continue right up to degree level in this subject - entirely by home study.

The Association of Image Consultancts International (AICI)
Students of the Limperts Academy of Design Diploma in Image & Fashion Styling
can gain student membership with the AICI and can upgrade to a full member
upon successful completion of the course. AICI has chapters in Asia, Canada,
Europe, Latin America, South America and the United States. The AICI is a world-wide,
non-profit professional association of men and women specialising in visual
appearance, and verbal and non-verbal communication. AICI is an international
community that provides a challenging and inspiring environment for business
